Windows PowerShell Sengen !

New Windows PowerShell book released in Japanese

I got a mail from newpops, Japanese PowerShell MVP about the release of his book about PowerShell in Japanese "Windows PowerShell Sengen !"  on March 28th (And that I will get a signed copy :-) )

.
March 28th, I had published my PowerShell Book.
The title of my book is "Windows PowerShell Sengen !"
Sengen means "Declaration" in English.
So, "Windows PowerShell Sengen !" means that
"The times of PowerShell begin from now on !"

Windows PowerShell宣言!

Too bad I can read Japanise and can't use Google Translate on a book, so I can't say much about the content of the book, but I did meet newpops at the MVP summit, he's a great guy and from our conversations there and the stuff he has done on his blog I can tell that it must be good !

I think the Title is Great also !

So if your searching for a PowerShell book in Japanese be sure to take a look at it !, For more information you can look at newpops blog : PowerShell Memo (JP)

And to newpops ...

Congratulations on the release , and may the force of the Shell be with you!

Enjoy,

Greetings /\/\o\/\/

# re: Windows PowerShell Sengen !

Hi, MOW

I'm new to Powershell. I'm facing a problem right now. Whenever I run get-wmiobject win32_product , the powershell will give me an error says"

Get-WmiObject : Generic failure

At line:1 char:14

+ Get-WmiObject  <<<< Win32_Product "

do you know what happened here? and How can I solve this problem?  Thanks

Talking about books... I'm pretty new to scripting (thus to powershell). Now, what I want to learn is scripting with powershell starting from scratch (and using the power of WMI I'm discoering right now is an excellent incentive to start). But where to start? Clicking through a zillion links with, on itself useful information, isn't really structured learning. Is there any book you can recommend?
