IT Forum 2007 Barcelona

IT Forum 2007 Europe is almost there and I will leave for Barcelona tomorrow.

With the release of the PowerShell V2 CTP this week and a lot of PowerShell content (See also summary Below) it promises to be a great conference if you are already into PowerShell or are looking for more information about PowerShell information.

Also I'm looking forward meeting other PoSHoholics , I already have a big list of people I want to meet at the Forum. But also it will be great meeting lots of new people, so if you are at the IT forum and would like to meet  please drop by for a chat !

Ask the Experts PowerShell Booth

I will be at the ATE (Ask the experts) booth for PowerShell next week to talk about PowerShell and answer Questions , the booth number is 46 and during my shift and also between sessions you have a good chance spotting me there , it is in the corner of the ATE room see the floor plan below:

Other things on my IT Forum "PowerShell Grocery list" are :

The Scripting Guys

when you are at the ATE be also sure to visit the Scripting Guys at Booth 22 as they will also be at the IT Forum and there will be also a lot of PowerShell coverage see : TechEd IT Forum: The Journey Begins , I never met the scripting guys before so  naturally they are also somewhere on top of my "to meet" list .

Exhibition Floor

Also on the Exhibition floor some interesting PowerShell information can be found a product I'm very exited about to combine Group Policy and PowerShell I recently attended a Demo of it very cool, so be sure to visit them for a Demo :

Special Operations Software

www.specopssoft.com
Stand: C1 & C2

Combine Group Policy and PowerShell and you get Specops Command. PowerShell Remoting through Group Policy. Deploy, schedule and execute PowerShell scripts and cmdlets on all your desktops and servers.

Quest Software

Ofcourse Quest featuring the AD CmdLets and PowerGUI  and also PowerShell MVP Dmitry Sotnikov who is on my To Meet list might be found here

Some other stands that might be interesting from a PowerShell focus ( Sure I will miss some here )

Microsoft Deployment

Next to PowerShell as I work with BDD 2007 at work at the moment , the series  about Microsoft Deployment ( the Next version of BDD now also supporting servers ) have my special interest :

  • Windows Server 2008 Microsoft Deployment Overview ( series of 2 sessions )
  • Windows Server 2008 Deployment ( Series of 4 Session )

And of course there will be a lot more that I have missed in this list !

I am looking forward to a great week in Barcelona and hope to See some of you next week!

Enjoy,

Greetings /\/\o\/\/

Hi Marc!

From one Poshoholic to another, I hope you have a great week next week. It sounds like an amazing conference, and I'm very envious. Unfortunately I will not be attending it this year, but maybe next year!  Do you stick to TechEd IT Forum in Europe or do you also try to attend TechEd in the US?  I'm going to see what I can do to make it to TechEd 2008 in the US so maybe we can meet there.
